- HONOR YOUR COMMITTMENT: If you accept an assignment, you
are expected to complete it as scheduled. If you have doctor
appointments, court dates, vacations, etc. scheduled prior
to accepting an assignment, be sure to let us know.
- PROFESSIONALISM: Conduct yourself in a professional manner
at all times. Cell phones, personal use of the client’s
computer and excessive personal phone calls during working
hours are prohibited and could be considered grounds for dismissal.
- TAKE INITIATIVE: Take initiative and stay busy. Ask for
more work if you complete the tasks given to you. Always be
flexible and friendly.
- PUNCTIONALITY: Always be on time and arrive early the first
day. Work the hours and take a lunch period as scheduled by
the company.
- DRESS CODE: Professional dress is required for any office
environment. An appropriate dress code is required for any
other environment. Your staffing Coordinator will inform you
of each client’s dress code and will be happy to provide
suggestions on what is appropriate attire.
- CONFIDENTIALITY: Do not discuss confidential information
about the company where you are assigned.
- ASK QUESTIONS: Do not be shy about asking for information.
Questions prevent mistakes and demonstrate concern for the
quality of your work. You may want to maintain a notebook
if you are on a variety of assignments for Judy’s.
- BE PATIENT: Do not be too quick to judge an assignment
or the people with whom you are working.
Preparing Your Resume
- RESUME SPECIFIC- List education, experience and skills befiting
the position you are seeking, only if they are factual.
- CONSISTENCY- Use same pattern of spacing in order of presentation
and format. Be consistent with highlighting as well.
- BE CONCISE-Our culture today almost demands a one page
resume- never more than two. If too lengthy, often times are
discarded.
- FORMAT-Start your resume with your most recent experience,
starting with the last position you held. Your resume should
always be up to date. Also, highlight your most current successes.
- NEEDLESS INFORMATION- Do not extend your resume to two
or three pages with irrelevant information, i.e., recreational
interests, memberships.
- REFERENCES- A separate sheet of references, including names,
addresses, and current phone numbers can be submitted with
resume. Keep your references current and make sure you alert
your references that you have given their name as a reference.
- DESIGN- Stay with a laser printed resume as handwritten,
typed and even jet printed resumes can look unprofessional.
- CONTENT- The descriptions you include regarding skills,
experience, capabilities and accomplishments will be very
important in generating interviews.
- PROOFREAD- Over and over again- ask a friend or family
member to proof resume. Misspelled words, poor punctuation
and poor use of grammar will almost always exclude you from
the interviewing process.
